About BK Restoration & Remodeling
The origin of BK Restoration & Remodeling dates to 1971. Members of our staff have over 60 years of combined construction and general experience. We have specialized in restoration since 1985 and are privileged to be local direct repair vendors for top insurance companies. We work closely with insurance companies to repair and restore commercial & residential properties damaged by fire, water, wind, or hail, as well as various other occurrences and types of severe structural damage.
Whether you have experienced water damage, wind damage, fire damage, or damage from hail… Catastrophic restoration is something we are fully familiar with. Our Staff
Jeff Koepke
Jeff graduated from Southeast Community College in Milford, Nebraska, in 1985. He then went to work for a custom cabinet builder in Lincoln & also did remodeling jobs on the side. In 1991, Jeff and Sharon had a house fire. Jim Bartolome was called in by Jeff & Sharon’s insurance company to restore their home, and then Jeff joined Jim in insurance restoration. Jeff and Sharon bought the business from Jim in 1997. Jeff can truly empathize with a disastrous fire.
Mark Bartolome
Mark attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He worked for a commercial painting contractor, gaining extensive knowledge of both commercial & residential painting. After working for several years as a property manager for the largest property management company in Lincoln, Mark joined BK Restoration & Remodeling in 1997, working as a painting subcontractor. After working for a couple of years as our primary painter, Mark was trained as a carpenter, specializing in framing, trimming, & roofing repairs. Armed with several years of fieldwork, Mark was moved into the office as a project manager in April 2003. Mark’s duties consist of working with insurance companies to establish the value of repairs, communicating with the insured, and coordinating the repair process. Having a professional with multi-faceted experience is an invaluable asset.
Will Elliott
Will has over 15 years of experience in Fire and Water Restoration. He works closely with homeowners and insurance companies to help restore lives. His background is a great asset due to his vast knowledge of the steps it takes to any project large or small. Will has IICRC certifications in fire, water damage & structural drying, which has helped him gain the knowledge to be an asset to the company. Will is a native of Greenwood, NE, & currently resides in Omaha with his daughter named Grace. He is currently our Project Manager for Omaha, Council Bluffs, and the surrounding area.
John Determan
John Determan is a graduate of the University of Nebraska. While attending college, John worked at several lumber yards, which gave him knowledge of the construction industry. After graduating from college, John worked as a pharmaceutical sales representative. Since then, John has been in the fire & water restoration industry and is also certified with the IICRC in water damage restoration. With his work history, John has vast experience in customer relations, which is a great asset to the company. John grew up in Pierce, NE., is married to Chelsey, and has two children, Bella and Jackson.
